I bought this outfit for Koen for Easter. When we got him all dressed up in it he looked like a little business man, so we played around a little with that.

Koen's Big Boy Room!!

 

 

 

WIth the baby on the way we decided it was time to move Koen into a new big boy room. Koen has not quite decided if he likes his new bed. He still wants to sleep in his crib. I dont' mind since he can't get out of it yet. I had a fun time painting the mural on the wall. It was a kit that you transfered on the wall and then painted it. It is still usuable if anyone is interested in buying it. I have to give thanks to all my family that helped me paint it.

Jane's 5th Birthday Sonic Party

Jane wanted a Sonic the Hedgehog party for her 5th birthday. So the kids looked for choas emeralds in the playground.

And they proved they were athletic like Sonic in an awesome obstacle course where they ran, dove through tunnels, jumped like crazy, and of course Ran, Ran, Ran.

Jane and all of her guests had a great time at the party. She claims that next year she wants to have a Super Sonic party. We'll see how long this obsession lasts!

Still a BOY!!

 

 

Last Friday I had to go back for another ultrasound. Four weeks ago they were able to see everything except the bladder. It was fun to be able to see the baby again. This time Stephanie and Koen came. I told Koen he could come and see the baby on the TV. He was excited. I don't think he could quite make out that is was a baby. The tech asked me if I knew what the gender of my baby was and I told her it was a boy but she could check and make sure he still was. She found his bladder right off and then she made sure all the measurements were right on. Then finally she said yep he is still a boy, there is his one leg and the other and his third leg.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Adam lost his wedding ring a couple of months ago and it was never to be seen again. Our anniversary is still a couple months away so I thought Valentine's Day would be a good day to give him a new ring. So I made these cupcakes to look like a box of chocolates and in the little box in the middle is his new ring. When I gave it to him he was quite surprised because I told him we were not giving any gifts. There is a update to this story that happened a couple days later. It was car cleaning time so I first cleaned out my car and found mail keys that had been missing for a long time. They had fallen down the crack on the driver's side seat. Then the next day it was Adam's car's turn to be cleaned. So I was vacuuming and I glanced over and I saw no other then Adam's wedding ring down the crack on the drivers side. The same side I found the keys in the other car. So if you have lost anything check that place :)

To share with family what we were going to have, I made these special cupcakes. Inside I filled them with the blue frosting to tell everyone that we were going to be having a boy. It was fun to have them bite into them and see what was inside.

A Year Ago

 
 
There is not much to blog about currently so I decided to blog about what Koen was like a year ago. These pics where taken a year ago and it is fun to see how much he has changed. He had to stand on a chair to shoot his basketball in the hoop. Now he had no trouble making it in the hoop, he even slams dunks it.

Christmas Eve Goodies

 

 

On Christmas Eve I was in charge of making a treat for our family party. I thought this would be the perfect time to announce we were going to have a baby. I ordered the personalized m&m's with the words Shanny's(that's all that would fit) pregnant and baby due June 29. For my treat a strategically placed the m&m's in place and took them to the party. We set them out at dessert time and sat back and waited to see who would find them first. A couple minutes later my sister in law Michelle came running in saying Shannon's pregnant and I could hear everyone saying "What?." It was a fun way to announce it. It was a very fun and memorial evening. For family we didn't see on Christmas we sent them Christmas cards with the saying from the previous post. It was fun to wait for the phone calls from the card.

O' Christmas Tree

 
We broke down and bought a fake tree this year. I told myself I would never buy one. The last couple of years our tree would die a week before Christmas and be a fire hazard. Koen loves to pull up his chair and just sit and stare at it.

Santa Claus

 
This is Koen sitting on Santa's lap at the Sheriff's Christmas Party. He was ok with Santa, but would not tell Santa what his wanted. I hope Santa finds a way to know what he wants.

The Many Moods of Morey Glen

We've found over the last 2 1/2 months that Morey goes through a wide range of emotions during any period of time. He also has a very expressive face, so we get to see those emotions painted pretty vividly on his cute little mug. We feel bad sometimes because we find ourselves laughing because of his cute faces, even when he's trying to tell us that he's terribly upset. See for yourself!
